Objective

Our main work is the recruitment and development of our Change Agents. We are looking for an energetic and positive new Team Manager for our Recruitment & Development Team, based in our offices in Oakham, Rutland. You will establish, develop, oversee and report on our Change Agents’ roles in ethical and responsible organisations across the UK. This will include developing new relationships with clients as well as maintaining existing ones.

You will work alongside and oversee on a day-to-day basis the Recruitment and Development team. You and your team will be responsible for the recruitment and development of early careerists passionate about sustainability and interested in developing an ethical and responsible career. This will involve advertising, shortlisting applicants CVs, telephone interviews, face-to-face interviews and assistance with induction and support. You will also manage and develop your team. We encourage improvement of our processes and pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service to all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks

  1. To manage and maintain a motivated and enthusiastic team.

  2. To liaise with and market our services to current, past and potential clients (local authorities, universities, businesses, voluntary and community organisations).

  3. To liaise with partner organisations such as the National Union of Students (NUS), and Environmental Association of Universities and Colleges (EAUC) to promote our work and generate referrals.

  4. To ensure regular and efficient contact with client organisations, providing an excellent customer experience.

  5. To recruit early careerists for ethical and responsible projects, following our legally compliant and best practice processes.

  6. To support and develop our Change Agents throughout the duration of their roles.

  7. To develop effective and innovative social media and email campaigns to market the service.

  8. To develop specialist knowledge of a sustainability topic and/or key employment sectors.

  9. To attend conferences and events to promote the organisation and build new business.

  10. To track the performance of the team against targets and budgets.

  11. To maintain effective working relationships with the team, hold regular meetings, support and develop them.

  12. To assist with any other reasonable tasks that may arise.

Employer: Change Agents UK Trading Ltd.

Hours/Week: 37.5 full time. Part-time hours or job share will be considered.

Work outside normal hours: Some travel will be involved in undertaking interviews around the country. There may be some work outside of normal office hours. Change Agents UK operates a flexi-time policy and work related travel expenses are paid.

Person Specification

Essential

  1. Excellent communication skills.

  2. Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to take responsibility and work under own initiative to set deadlines, prioritising effectively.

  3. Fully proficient in use of Microsoft Office programmes.

  4. Understanding of, and commitment to, equality and objectivity in the recruitment process.

  5. Ability to maintain positive, professional relationships with clients, candidates and colleagues.

  6. Demonstrable experience in business development / sales.

  7. Ability to maintain records and produce reports.

  8. Interest in and understanding of basic sustainability concepts and issues.

  9. Experience of developing new business opportunities and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders

Desirable

  1. Experience of managing a team.

  2. Previous experience of working in Human Resources (HR) or recruitment or demonstrable knowledge of employment law and regulations.

  3. Experience of using a CRM system.

  4. Some understanding of data protection/ GDPR would be useful.

Position Details

Salary (per annum pro rata): £21,000 to 24,000 dependant on experience

Closing Date: Sunday 25th February 2018

Interview Date: w/c 5th March 2018

Preferred Start Date: ASAP

Length of Opportunity: 12 months, with extension/permanent contract based on performance.

Annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays

Probation period: 3 months

Salary £21,000 to 24,000 dependant on experience
