Alupro is an industry funded, not-for-profit organisation with over 25 years’ experience representing the UK’s aluminium packaging industry. We work to fulfil the industry’s obligation to meet, and exceed, recycling targets for aluminium packaging.
We are achieving this by working in partnership with local authorities, the waste management industry and the wider metal packaging sector to develop and stimulate the UK’s collection infrastructure. We also manage and run consumer information and education campaigns to encourage participation in recycling schemes.
We are looking for a digital marketing and social media Intern to develop the online marketing and social media strategy for Alupro and our two programmes – Every Can Counts and Metal Matters.
You’ll have an understanding of working with digital platforms and managing digital projects, with a clear idea of how digital tools add value to company strategy and performance.
We are a small team, so good interpersonal skills are essential. We welcome you to challenge our existing thinking about what digital marketing can achieve for our organisation and members.
Planning and executing digital marketing campaigns, and designing, maintaining and supplying content for our websites. To develop and plan social media for Alupro, Every Can Counts and Metal Matters.
Editing and posting video, podcast and audio content.
Analysing and producing reports on digital and social media activity and developing ideas for improvements.
Contribute to raising our profile and reputation through creating and maintaining a positive social media presence.
Understanding what works best in the areas of digital marketing and social media, with the drive to stay abreast of trends and movements in digital technology, media & demographic strategy and broader business practices.
• Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about digital marketing & social media.
• Able to plan and deliver paid media – PPC paid social, display - across multiple channels.
• Experienced in content ideation and creation. Keen to further your skills in asset production e.g. videography.
• Knowledgeable of best practice SEO with the ability to optimise content assets.
• Enthusiastic and willing to learn.
• A qualified driver with access to a car.
