Join the Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) as a Waste & Recycling Co-ordinator! This placement is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about sustainability and wishes to gain experience in the waste and resources sector in a university setting.
We are a leading, award winning University for sustainability, currently 2nd Place in the People & Planet University League based on our ethical and environmental performance. MMU is also developing a new Carbon Management Plan to be a Zero Carbon University by 2038.
In the waste and recycling team we aim to embed the principles of the waste hierarchy to prevent, reduce, reuse, recycle and dispose of our waste. We always aim to be a zero waste to landfill University; in 2017-18 we successfully diverted all our waste (excluding building projects) from landfill!

We are looking for a Waste & Recycling Co-ordinator who can produce high quality work, confidently administer a range of activities and have a passion for developing and maintaining relationships across the university.
